I lived in India and have traveled the world acquiring art and experiencing the stories and lives of the artisans I met. My passion is sharing these stories with you through the textures of the textiles, wood and pottery, the history and stories behind famous as well as not yet famous artists so you can choose something that speaks to you, a unique piece of art for you to take home or to give to a special friend or loved one.
Come visit and experience this fun and eclectic gallery and can even take home a lotion or soap made in the mountains of Idaho on a small family (Hirst) goat farm or a jar of homemade jam or artisan mustard from Northern Minnesota.

My name is Sarah Hirst Scanlon and I am a 3rd generation art gallery owner, a new endeavor for me after my recent retirement from a production career at Flint Hills Resources in Rosemount, MN. My Grandparents had an Art Gallery called "The Collector's Corner" in Ellison Bay, Wisconsin in Door County where I learned about printmaking and printmakers. My Grandmother Helen Powell Hooper was also an acclaimed Wisconsin artist and I carry many of her watercolors, paintings, and mixed media works, and the pottery in Galeria Saro is made by my sister Helen Hooper-Hirst (the "Poulterer") and my mother Mary Hooper Hirst whose studio /co-op was "The Pots Place" in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
